A Brand New Day is upon is, full of both spiders and men in equal amounts. But perhaps that will change in the new movie? Regardless, we actually don’t know a lot about Spider-Man’s newest adventure, despite the copious marketing for it, which has me both nervous and excited as a lifelong fan of the … Read more
Earlier today, Paramount Plus and Avatar Studios unveiled the long-awaited teaser trailer for Avatar: Seven Havens, the sequel series to Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. The new show follows Avatar Pavi and is set in a post-apocalyptic world where a mysterious calamity event involving Korra killed off most of the world’s population and … Read more
The first full trailer for Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday is here, and if you’re a regular ole Marvel fan, you’ve likely fallen off the wagon since Avengers: Endgame in 2019. That’s okay! It’s nearly impossible to keep up with all the movies and TV shows in the MCU nowadays, so you’d be forgiven for not having seen … Read more
Avatar: The Last Airbender is probably closer to my heart than any other story I’ve ever been told. It is strong, it is meaningful, and it is very, very important. Go watch it! You deserve it. While I was very disappointed with much of Season 1 back in 2024, I was probably alone in thinking … Read more
I have often seen the sentiment, particularly since his Oscar win with Oppenheimer, that Christopher Nolan himself is Hollywood’s most valuable IP. Nolan’s name carries a weight, a seal … Read more

As Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender closes out its second season, the Gaang finds themselves in the crystal caverns beneath Ba Sing Se as the second act of our grand story brings us to its “all is lost” ending. With only 7 episodes … Read more
With Aang and the Gaang back from the Spirit Library, Jet dead, and Appa taken, things are bleak for Team Avatar. Fans will know that because things played out so differently in the Netflix show, with Long Feng directly kidnapping Appa and putting him directly in Lake Laogai, there is no Appa’s Lost Days anymore. This … Read more
When last we left our heroes, Sokka had teamed up with the massively-rewritten Professor Zei from Ba Sing Se University to locate the ancient Spirit Library, in which a map of the Fire Nation and information about how to defeat them might exist. Katara and Zuko, both in disguise, fought off Jet and his gang … Read more
When we last left our heroes in Episode 3, “City of Walls and Secrets”, the story of the live action adaptation had begun to very fully divert from the source material in Ba Sing Se. I’ve been saying throughout this season that drastically altering from the original story isn’t inherently bad, and in fact it’d … Read more
City of Walls and Secrets, the third episode of Season 2 of Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender is interestingly the only one of the seven episodes in this season that shares an episode title with its source material. In the original cartoon, this episode brings the Gaang into the Earth Kingdom capital of … Read more
