I will still maintain, to this day, that the first season of Ted Lasso is perfect. When the series first premiered on Apple TV back in 2020, I had my doubts about whether a character from a series of NBC Sports commercials could carry an entire story. The way the series brought together comedy and … Read more
Earlier today, Paramount Plus and Avatar Studios unveiled the long-awaited teaser trailer for Avatar: Seven Havens, the sequel series to Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. The new show follows Avatar Pavi and is set in a post-apocalyptic world where a mysterious calamity event involving Korra killed off most of the world’s population and … Read more
The first full trailer for Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday is here, and if you’re a regular ole Marvel fan, you’ve likely fallen off the wagon since Avengers: Endgame in 2019. That’s okay! It’s nearly impossible to keep up with all the movies and TV shows in the MCU nowadays, so you’d be forgiven for not having seen … Read more
Avatar: The Last Airbender is probably closer to my heart than any other story I’ve ever been told. It is strong, it is meaningful, and it is very, very important. Go watch it! You deserve it. While I was very disappointed with much of Season 1 back in 2024, I was probably alone in thinking … Read more

This … Read more

Katara and Zuko, both in disguise, fought off Jet and his gang … Read more
When we last left our heroes in Episode 3, “City of Walls and Secrets”, the story of the live action adaptation had begun to very fully divert from the source material in Ba Sing Se. I’ve been saying throughout this season that drastically altering from the original story isn’t inherently bad, and in fact it’d … Read more
City of Walls and Secrets, the third episode of Season 2 of Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender is interestingly the only one of the seven episodes in this season that shares an episode title with its source material. In the original cartoon, this episode brings the Gaang into the Earth Kingdom capital of … Read more
Despite my great disappointment in Season 1 of Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko’s beloved animated show, the first episode of Season 2 was so shockingly different under the new showrunners Christine Boylan and Jabbar Raisani that it has made me hopeful that this version has a reason to exist. Episode … Read more
